M-Audio also introduced the Studiophile SP5B later the same year, along with officially re-branding themselves entirely as M-Audio. M-Audio entered the MIDI keyboard controller market in 2002, introducing the portable 25-key Oxygen8 that could be connected to a computer via a MIDI cable. M-Audio has grown to be a major manufacturer of extensive line of home and studio products such as audio usb interfaces, preamps, MIDI controllers, reference monitors, mixers, microphones and earphones. Formerly known as Midiman, M-Audio was formed by Tim Ryan in late 1990s at California and has been providing quality recording tools for anyone from home-recording hobbyists to world-class professionals.
